*Flashback*
A prince was yelling at someone, that Emily couldn't recognize.
Emily was listening from behind the wall.
''I need to find this dragon and kill it, before that stupid Prince Anthony does!!'' Said the prince, beginning to lose his temper.
''But you need a strategy. What about a group of hunters, too!?'' Said the mysterious voice.
''Don't talk to me about that!!'' yelled the prince, again, obediently.
Then Emily heard a door slam and loud footsteps, going in the opposite direction to her.
-
Emily thought deeply, for a moment, and began to sum it all up. She had heard many rumours also, that many princes had set off in order to kill the dragon, but as expected, all were unsuccessful. Emily was tired of watching wimpy princes trying to get slay the local dragon, so she finally decided to have a go herself. Later that evening, she set off to look for the dragon. Later that evening she came upon the dragon who was singeing the top of a small, freckle-faced boy's head.

Being a brave and helpful princess, Emily set a trap for the dragon and then tricked him into following her..
*Twist*
The princess ran as fast as she could, not braking pace. While she was running, she suddenly came across a dead end... So she ran back and turned the other way, but then suddenly fell down a well. The dragon caught up with her and stood at the top of the well laughing at her.
-
*Flash Forward*
Emily is in a big house and she is talking to a prince. She laughs and jokes with him then says good bye, as he goes to hunt in the woods.
-
Emily climbed up out of the well, quick enough to slip past the dragon and run towards where she had laid the trap.
"You're just a silly girl, and even though it's hardly worth it, i'm going to toast you to a crisp and have you for pudding!'' Boomed the dragon. Just as he had said that, the branches he was standing on gave way, and he fell down a very deep well, his fire put out once and for all.
Emily returned to the boy.
'What's your name?' she asked.
'Prince Mathew' said the boy.
'That'll do nicely,' said Emily. 'Where do you live?'
'In Happy-Ever-After,' he replied.
'That'll do nicely too,' said Emily.
And with that, she and Matthew rode off together to Happy-Ever-After.
*Parallel Story*
The King, at home, was pacing up and down. He had a stern and angry look across his face. He had just recently found out that the princess had gone to kill the dragon. He desperately didn't want her to go, because he didn't think she was strong enough.
[She has a flashback of when a weak prince was talking to someone she didn't recognize, shortly after the opening of the story]

[The twist to the story is that Emily falls down a well when she's running from the dragon]
While Emily should have just ran around a corner, or simply ran away from the dragon, she actually falls down a well in the story:
The princess ran as fast as she could, not braking pace. While she was running, she suddenly came across a dead end... So she ran back and turned the other way, but then suddenly fell down a well. The dragon caught up with her and stood at the top of the well laughing at her.
[While in the well, Emily has a flash forward. Probably seeing her life after the story's ending]
Emily is in a big house and she is talking to a prince. She laughs and jokes with him then says good bye, as he goes to hunt in the woods.
[The last thing that happens in the narrative, is that we read something happening, just after Emily has killed the dragon. We see another character's thoughts]
